Likes

Lateral are getting higher salary with less experience, While trainees are getting so less salary. I started at 7900 basic salaries and now after 6 years, I get 15000 basic pay. Not a good hike in salary.

Job security is good, if you don't work hard then you don't get good ratings but job is secure.

Location is good. Tata brand.

Dislikes

There is a whole list. Heavy corporate politics, nepotism at its peak, benefits are just an illusion, management is highly unprofessional, compensation is industry lowest, CTC is flawed, employees' overall development is zero, and many many more. Tata steel offers a good salary, no other company in the same domain offers even half of that . Working culture is awesome . No caste ism or any unfavourable advantages for employee is tere. Ethics inside the company is best...

Less work life balance. Excessive and unnecessary paper work. Bossy culture especially after Tata Take over. No shop floor experience and guidance from seniors except few seniors. Pathetic union culture

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!
