Work Life Balance is very good, but then again depends on your team and reporting heads. You can learn a lot of things if you really want to, especially if you are posted in greenfield plants. Benefits are always something to look after Job Security is the best amongst any industry Higher Management is easily accessible,atleast from what I have seen and encountered.

Salary compensation, it's worst. The CTC they give are bloated to the top Appraisal is very minimal, even if the rating is high You can find people with a very orthodox mentality, so gelling up becomes difficult, especially if you had to work with them. HR policies are good enough, but HRs are/acts(?) very dumb sometimes even after qualifying from top grade B-schools.

... outside is not what it is from inside specially for civil engineer in projects. Low salary, low work satisfaction, least work life balance, excessive traveling for work in Kalinganagar plant, 10 hour of work could be more, night shift, no self time. We are called officers but work like supervisor. I think I am again in school. Hypocrisy. Line manager is responsible for everything at site. Even if it is beyond his domain of knowledge like safety.

...eral joinees by provided with high CTC, while actual in hand will be 2/3 or CTC. Increment is on Basic salary only. lateral joinees are taken at lower Basic salary. Highly bureaucratic organization people working in MNC will feel this. Promotion is based on the vacancy within the dept, so no promotion eligibility.
