The company is good and I learnt many things like hiring process, how to develop good relationship with crew for their retention as well as optimum utilisation of their skill in cost effective way. This company enhanced my professional skill and gave me opportunities to explore in oil and gas industry. Only one thing was here that I was underpaid and was under less job security..

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
