Worst local management, no one cares about your qualifications and responsibilities, whatever you are assigned to do, even if it’s not your responsibility, you have to do it in unreasonable time, and it becomes your responsibility from there onwards. ...They don't reveal all the rules and regulations until you join the organisation. Salary slab is as per their own rules not as per 7th pay commission. Contract is just for the sake they will do as they wish. They transfer to any department without any experience if they wish to.

For an academician at junior to mid level, NMIMS is good. Students are good, fellow peers are also skilled and knowledgeable.

Dislikes

Service security is zero, even the employees are performing good and as per the expectations. Expectations are inconsistent, it's not system centric, rather people centric. Loads of office politics among employees.

Highly biased management -their Vice Chancellor Dr.Ramesh Bhat is a highly pathetic and whimsical person with highly double standards and doesn't know how to talk and deal with people. This NMIMS University is on the decline and its work culture and teaching are going down-there is no job security and they believe in the Visiting faculty concept around 50 -60% of the staff is contractual

Top Management/Leadership Work-Life Balance Poor Increments No rules for contractual staff highly biased Management No job security People who work hard are thrown out of the system Mafia/gang type work culture If you are a hard-working person, be ready to get trolled and penalised

Overall experience was very good, team was excellent,work culture was also good, but growth opportunity are rare, you have to work on same post, the opportunities are available only for academic people.Wages are timely paid.

Un-formal channels are working parallel, few people on top are biased.

Hi, I'm here to share a part of my journey from the past 12 years in my career, I started from a package of 3.6LPA in 2013 at iGate and due to a few bad decisions on my career and worthless advices from people who are always pessimistic about the industry, I switched two companies and landed in a start-up with 2.4LPA. I worked hard nearly 8-16hrs a day single handed researched, built and managed an entire vertical of a project for 8 years. When the company didn't value my contribution and thought I was too young to become a manager, I had a package of 6LPA and Senior developer in designation. I switched for obvious reasons to a TL role for 12LPA and now at the same company I'm a TPM on the basis of my contribution with 48LPA as a fixed component. I feel outclassed in terms of having a fancy CV with certifications, I feel like CTC has hit a peak with 48LPA being fixed and nearly 40% in Variable. Most companies are hesitant to hire me because of this. What should be my next move?
