Clearing one of toughest exams GATE and joining SAIL through GATE is not worth it. Management should know that no one studies this hard to get these type of roles in an adverse industry and should plan accordingly, Hectic Rotational Shifts, Management is old and still struck with 80s Mindset, No respect for executive officers, Doesn't value your education and experience, Challenging workplace, sometimes difficult to take leave on your wish, In comparison to other Maharatna PSUs the facilities and allowances are joke, same salary for someone who sits in the office whole day and same for someone who works hard in heat, dust and noisy shop floor i.e. no hardship allowances unlike other PSUs, weekoff duration varies from 24 hrs to 40hrs while in general shift you can get 40hr of weekly off

Gives ample scope to explore opportunities. Gives exposure to Cross functional experience. With the recent spate of Modernisation & Expansion all across SAIL, new state of the art technology has been inducted, which provides enormous challenge for go-getters. I pride my employment at SAIL, as i am able to contribute directly towards the growth of the nation- be it countries infrastructural dev-Bogibeel Bridge, space explorations- Chandrayan-II or rails on which the country moves, its all made in SAIL.

Dislikes

...ge the power of IT in business. Training is another which needs to be shored up. The concept of Performance Related Pay is very vague or virtually absent. The company is not attracting best talents from the academia.

Likes

The company provides wide range of opportunity to learn not only technology ,engineering,management skills in different areas of management but also exposure to very challenging jobs.

Dislikes

Compensation is not commensurate with the type of challenging job handled,

Team mates,training,job security ,carrear growth,salary,appraisal,learning,work environment,innovation,worklife balance etc were excellent.I have no words to describe about the admiration of the organisation.

Contractual Workers suffering from lost of issues like delay salary,Less day in a month 18 days , No Insurance,Job Security, Management behaviour worst with only Contractor Works treat like animal.

Dislikes

Delay salary,Less days 20 days working in a month,no job security, contract period is less,no proper insurance, salary increment, Politics,If Contractual workers getting any kind of issue no one available to lessen.
