...ants to learn and grow. Approachable colleagues, always polite and friendly. No salary deductions and no targets. Quality is more important than quantity. Professional working environment, in case of any issue the senior management is very helpful. One can expect great work-life balance with 5 days of working days. I needed leaves for a few days for a minor operation, it was immediately granted to me. Communication is encouraged and Senior editor or senior management in Toronto can be reached out anytime. Supportive and elaborate team training to ensure each employee is on the same page. In case, of any mistake which is natural for anyone, there is no putting people down or critiquing them, instead people are taught again. HR department is also very responsive, work from home is a breeze with such supportive colleagues. These are little things, but it matters a lot when you are working in a company.

One of the best things about working in Source Desk (as a content writer) is their focus on creating quality content. The writers are never forced to produce copious amounts of content and they are given complete freedom to conduct research and look for topics that are in line with the digital marketing objectives and may be trending in the industry. Plus, the writers are given the right guidance necessary to improve their overall skills. Moreover, the co-workers are friendly and extremely helpful. They will guide new and even experienced writers when someone gets stuck and do what they can to ensure the quality is maintained.

While the job roles present a great opportunity to learn new things, one of the downsides is that the salary is rarely ever on time. There are times when half the month has passed but no one has any idea when the salary will be disbursed. Also, there is a huge communication gap between the Indian and Canadian management and the employees and often they fail to address important issues when focusing on other things.

The only plus point was work-life balance as they never pressurize or set unrealistic expectations for the delivery of a task.

There's a long list. The salary is never on time and every month they have a new excuse regarding bank issues. The company is filled with arrogant and incompetent managers who take advantage of their position and humiliate people for their ego satisfaction. Some managers have half-baked knowledge and use the same to judge writers. They have an on-shore editor who make comments with underlined racial discrimination. The company has privilege leaves that you have to earn but they will neither let you take it nor give encashment of the same. They make big false promises. They were a good company a few years back and gradually they went downhill. The PF was never deposited on time and documents were also not updated. If you resign, they make sure you don't get your settlement funds on time.
