Dislikes

- Lack of innovation, especially in data science, indian offices of Sixt is a significant downside. - The data science department is toxic, which negatively impacts the work environment. - Data science manager is self centric, and doesn't care about employee's growth, which leads to dissatisfaction. - Job security is not there, specially if you have disagreements with the manager. - Overall SIxt India is not performing well, contributing a less favourable experience for employees.

The worst company in terms of hiring. After giving 6 rounds of interview and Documentation they have rejected the candidates saying the stability is not aligned. Wasted 1 month of my time. Don't apply in Sixt India, they have the worst hiring process although the recruiters and employees are friendly. The values and the practices are only on papers.

Exciting challenges and talented staff.

Dislikes

-> Lack of cohesive strategy. Products often work in silos. -> Too often stuck in build trap. Unwilling to solve problems with thorough thinking and strategy. -> Lack of focus on shipping quality products. Later complain about bad solutions. When pushed back leaders about lack of clarity on requirements, leaders pressurize to get things done. -> Mid-management often pressuring teams to deliver on unrealistic expectations without clarity on requirements and expecting them to slog. Seen this happening especially with teams in India. -> India HR policies are not elaborate. Extremely limited tax benefit options. HR has acknowledged openly the unwillingness to address these matters.

Likes

Freedom to own the product completely. Ship things fast and impact large user base. Room to learn and implement new things.

Dislikes

Company politics and frequent org restructuring. Changing priorities and “star projects” that make everything else take a backseat. Sometimes frequent manpower movement to these projects. Average leadership that doesn’t exactly lead by example. Constantly introducing “new” or “real” product management methodologies without bringing anything to conclusion.

Good working culture, colleagues are very generous, supportive and open to discussions.

Dislikes

Not Treated at par with full time employees by managers, Growth opportunity drastically reduces if you are contractual employee.
