Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

I like the working atmosphere there and my peaceful principal. He made me learn many other things other than the work. I love my teammates over there who stood as a support to me always.

Dislikes

After 2 years of continuous bank audits, there is nothing new to learn or work in that department. That's the only thing I felt sad about working here.
