Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Likes

Okay work life balance in off season. Less work. As a caller you need 3 hours talktime. BDA might have to travel outside of city. Good collegues. Many festival celebrations. Good for freshers to learn.

Dislikes

Less salary, no hr policies for leave, no benefits, very less TA/DA, very less growth opportunity, improper management. Lots of office politics.
