Mr. Sinha is a gentleman. That's the only good thing about this place. The work culture is toxic. The convinience of the peons is greater than the advocate's need to get something done. Juniors are treated like disposable garbage, to be used and thrown away. Mr. Arindam mandal is the worst senior to work under. He disrespects his juniors, pushes the juniors into career destroying positions, expects the juniors to take care of muddy situations he creates with counsels, doesn't give any clear instructions on any matters and is always absent from office. He also expects juniors to do the job of his peon, who doesn't even recognise the juniors as advocates and thinks he is their supervisor/superior. Juniors in his department get blamed for everything and get no recognition for any work done.

Low salary, toxic environment, so problem recognition let alone resolution, juniors are treated like use and throw tools, peons are treated like kings who cannot be inconvenienced at any cost, juniors expected to do clerk and peon's work as well including carrying briefs to court.

Mr.Paritosh Sinha is the best person .He is helpful considerate and knowledgeable. I found him to be true mentor and guide. As I feel in solicitor firm we do not have much to learn after 1 and half years i shifted.

The people such as my immediate senior Arindam Mondal did not like my presence so the work culture was not congenial . I could not prosper there as my growth was halted.

They had numerous occasions so they offered lunch atleast 2-3 times a week. I was offered tea every alternate day. A bit weird because the regular employees were offered tea everyday. The clerk was very kind to me.

Didn’t like the atmosphere for my first internship. The employees were hostile and were fighting amongst themselves by throwing things here and there. One even yelled at me. The HR (Aditi something) is a toxic woman. She expected me to meet her from where I was placed under two senior lawyers to her office on the first floor for more work. Apparently that was the norm and I was sent an email (never to be found). She even saw me reading a bare act and checked up on me when I was at my cubicle and even then she never mentioned I was to go to her for more work. I was just learning and would have been happy to do so if she had asked in person or via email. On the day I went to ask for my certificate, she insulted me very badly about the above reason and also because of my dress code. I was wearing a black trouser with a white kurti and she shouted at me saying jeans aren’t allowed. I actually had to turn around and show her what I was wearing. It was very traumatic and this happened in front of her assistant, other interns sitting there and a clerk. I wore formals every other day because I had only one set back then. She again screamed at me and said not to come to intern in this manner and to read my emails. Once I was alone, I very carefully checked my emails and never found one. I am sure neither will they find an outgoing email to me. Very traumatising first experience.
