Job security is a plus. The work environment is relaxed. For work travel, an Amex card is provided, which is partially useful. Work-life balance is great.

...it wastes a lot of energy. Career growth is plainly time-bound and unexciting. Growing within the company in terms of salary isn't attractive- come in from outside and it'll be good. Travel policies are bad- no per-diem, have to keep the receipts for all transactions. Might end up losing personal money travelling for business. Politics exists, in management, in HR. More than organisational, it can be experienced within various teams. The work environment is dull- very few engagement activities or HR-related activities are conducted. Quarterly team outings and birthday celebrations are the only 'non-work' engagement activities happening, mostly like a ritual. No policy for work-from-home, but managers do it.

Good for people who can show off rather. People who just concentrate on good work and ethics are not valued.

Dislikes

Compensation- If you don’t fight for it you won’t get it. Does not matter how good you are at your work.

Siemens Digital Industries has very good company culture and Long Term Service (LTS) benefit program and health insurance. Work life balance is okay (3 days mandatory office). One of the best company for long-term job security. Ownership culture is very good for individual contributors.

Dislikes

Salary is okay compared to market standards and there are no other benefits apart from LTS and insurance. Investment in skill development is limited only to manager's favorites. Far too much office politics, blame game and toxic work environment. Management is biased and believe the feedback from favorites without verifying the facts from other parties. Very poor conflict management.

One can choose Siemens for retirement. It has that kind of Job Security, work life balance and culture. Also you can opt for internal transfer in the company to switch the technology.

...pany it results into slow promotions your position will upgrade after 4-5 years. Also salary hike is average.
