New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

...tes are supportive. There is a huge cafeteria and surrounding area for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

Compensation is very poor. The work pressure is very high, Some times i have to work 18-20 Hours. Managers do not value an individual unique strength. I don't receive any appreciation e mail from my office. There is no job security. Managers does not recognize the employees effort. There is no support from management for employee issues.

I love the company as I am a part of a team that markets reliable, high- quality products ans has a global client base. as a result, i get to travel abroad. but on site travel is completely dependent on project and clients location.another plus point is that my colleagues come from various cultural backgrounds, and we work happily in collaboration.
