Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Dislikes

Skill development graph is almost a flat line. Very less chances of promotion. Salary is a little lesser than market standards and the average hike is around 8% to 10%

Favouritism, politics, slow process recruiters don’t reply and they don’t have much projects so once it’s gone you will be forced to search outside Management has forced many people to resign because of their foolishness you will lose your job
