New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

...adly affected but we as SP GROUP stand still and hoping to overcome it together. They are providing salary with minimum salary cut but still they are not firing any one till date.

The working culture is very good. They give people chance to express their views at any level. Seniors and bosses are superbly supportive and help out at any problems we face in the office. They try to shape us to be a better working professional but enhancing our knowledge and provide us with proper training and skill development.

Beneficial policies, growing growth, working culture & good management. Timely salary by 1st week of every month. Recreation programs Viz get together parties, annual functions, seminars etc from time to time, managerial skills updated by the good trainer. Appraisals timely updatedevery year. Foreign policies also available to those who wants to go abroad. Good culture maintained by the management. Every thing is transparent. There is an opportunity to promote according to targetated achievement. etc.

In a construction company, job security is not confirmed because most of jobs recruited project based, hence there is some discrepanies occurred. To some extent politics also stop the growth of individual.
