The best part of the job was to get a chance to interact with the students who are so full of energy. The time in the classroom is what you enjoy the most.

Dislikes

...-home policy for a curfew situation. The guidelines for this changes every week. They cut your pay when you work the same amount from home as you did from campus even when the flow of student fees was not interrupted. Basically, if you are at home because of the lockdown/curfew, it is considered a day-off but they still expect you to workfor them.

...culture. You will regret working here. No bonus,no gratuity,no leave encashment. They will cut your salary for no reason. They will charge transport charges if you are not traveling also. If you will have one day lunch they will cut for the month.

Salary on time. Transparent Attendance and Leave system. Expert in marketing to attract parents and students with false promises.

Dislikes

Frequent reduction and cancellation of holidays. Extended work hours most of the days without any overtime payment. Low salaries and no increase. Incentives only for relatives and those who behave like bonded labourers. No recognition and reward for good work. Festivities going on all the time for students and management not interested to provide and encourage quality teaching. Even Professors not provided computer and air-conditioning. All efforts and expenses devoted only for marketing. Audio visual aids in Lecture halls outdated and frequently out of order

Hi, I'm here to share a part of my journey from the past 12 years in my career, I started from a package of 3.6LPA in 2013 at iGate and due to a few bad decisions on my career and worthless advices from people who are always pessimistic about the industry, I switched two companies and landed in a start-up with 2.4LPA. I worked hard nearly 8-16hrs a day single handed researched, built and managed an entire vertical of a project for 8 years. When the company didn't value my contribution and thought I was too young to become a manager, I had a package of 6LPA and Senior developer in designation. I switched for obvious reasons to a TL role for 12LPA and now at the same company I'm a TPM on the basis of my contribution with 48LPA as a fixed component. I feel outclassed in terms of having a fancy CV with certifications, I feel like CTC has hit a peak with 48LPA being fixed and nearly 40% in Variable. Most companies are hesitant to hire me because of this. What should be my next move?
