Earlier the scope of work SBM BLR used to get from Netherlands was good. They built that expertise but the callous management shunned off the good engineers deliberately and now boasting about recruiting local Kannadigas in spite of their poor eligibility for the job.

The comp[any boasts a culture of favouring local Kannadigas, irrespective of quality of their knowledge, skill set or simply the capacity to gel with team mates. The top management proudly says not to recruit non-locals ( non-Kannadigas). In electrical there is a lead engineer named K.V.Manjunatha, who is a very good micro-manager, higher managements PET. He does no work, whatever work he is assigned, he passes on to other team mates, and while submitting he tries to steal the show. He blames the team mates for any reason, he will call everyone once you go on a leave. He has zero knowledge, but he will call for meetings and will take inputs from you before the meeting to glorify himself. Overall the company is ruining the good culture that they harvested in the year 2012-2023. Deliberately they disposed off the good engineers and now all they are doing is uplift the Kannada image. No wonder if the Netherlands does not intervene it will reduce to local engineering company dealing with crap work from Europe.

Work life balance is ok.

Piping department manager is a novice, not taking responsibility for employees under him. No skill development or no support from him during appraisal time. Doesn't keep his promises. He's simply a dummy half baked guy with lot of insecurities. Not worth to be a manager at all. People are leaving the company from piping department mainly because of him.
