New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

Dislikes

- Work Politics - Toxic Work culture: Within 1 month of joining, employees are frustrated - Salary: Very poor salary structure given the location of Mumbai. - No perk: You may feel you are joining as a SBI brand and having certain facility; apart from availability of canteen food, there is nothing. - Work structure: SBIF is still running on contractual work basis. The leaderships being from bank appointed, they are not bothered about junior employees.

Dislikes

Literally everything Starting from their old school ideology of printing 100s of drafts ( talk about sustainability there) to not being flexible at all. Management comprises of bankers whi know nothing about development sector and only focuses on achieving targets! The number of people quitting from SBIF is alarming and yet they think its no issue at all. Horrible and stupid HRs and literally no accountability of work. I can go on and on

SBI gave me opportunities but newly joined management persons was comparing their poor skills and with my skills and created ego

Negative people. Group-ism, discrimination....No team. All negative observation. No motivation. useless place to work
