Freedom to try all pedagogical methodologies one would like to and go to the depths of concepts - That's totally based on how qualified and knowledgeable the teacher is himself/herself School has no role in that. To have the opportunity to pursue art as well, while have an otherwise busy schedule, I'd one is passionate about that area. It's only USP however is it's location. No school in India can boast of a view like it has... Python hill. It's setting is perfect for a boarding school! Thanks to Mr.Firodia they have the hilltop to them for the next few decades.

Dislikes

Utter lack of professionalism, high on politics and very, very poor payscales. All talk and no concrete outcome and hoax in the name of Krishnamurthi. They just love to have group discussions where only the top management ramble about their own views and portray to be well read in Krishnamurthi.. not one of them follows it remotely. Rishi valley and the valley school at Bangalore are perhaps the only ones who seem to get their act together. The facade of Krishnamurthi's teachings is what blinds parents who send their kids here. Parents who hardly connect with their own biological kids feel it's the responsibility of the school to magically transform their kids!! School in turn beats about the bush! Apart that teachers are expected to also be dorm parents...a crazy way of exhausting already exhausted teachers and saving money to pocket it, instead of recruiting dorm parents! Infrastructure is good only in the top management's houses and associated areas... everyone else can just be patient for their work to be attended to. Except the 11&12 cluster, the dorms and school building need a thorough revamping done. They look and are very very old structures ready to crumble in a quake. Poor maintenance!! The teaching staff is average..not all are qualified teachers. Absolutely anyone and everyone can be a teacher here as they don't believe in certified teachers...their biggest problem has always been poor HR and has always resulted in a large turnover of teachers every year. The complacent and dependent teachers who love to butter up management and stick around for their own job security..even if they do a shoddy job at that! Continue to serve. Zero professional development for teachers...as they don't believe in that either. If at all one ventures into it they expect the teacher to pay for it.
