...ing my opinion even after I had gone out from Saudi Kayan around two years back. I came to know from my experience, that the company is providing good information, salary, work environment, work-life balance, etc. but when it comes to training, appraisal, job security, career growth etc., the same is not the case, especially to us expatriates. Myself is the best example, if you look at the Training area, I was the person, who had given 21 training's, during my tenure with Sabic-Saudi Kayan, you can please check the Saudi Kayan Turnaround Website, you will find all of them uploaded there, but I was never recognized, for the purpose. Even the Safety booklet was prepared and distributed to all employees during the 2017-18 TA, I was never recognized for the same. I still found that during this year's TA, the same Safety Booklet is being distributed to employees.

Yes, job security and appraisal is the thing which needs real improvement. I was the Turnaround Planning Lead for the successfully completed TA 2017-18 and was given an independent charge of U&O TA Planning, and had worked along with the Maintenance GM, whom I adore a lot, during that time. We were the best TA team, and especially my work was appreciated the most by all, and were recognized for the same from SK Management. But with in two months, I got the information that my contract is not going to be renewed. I felt that I was being used by the management for the TA success and then I was thrown out when the TA is successfully completed. This is my personal opinion only. I am at present the Project Manager for NSH, looking after Sadara, Sabic, Sipchem & Sahara, due to my 25 years of experience, skill and knowledge in the area of Petrochemical O&M, which Sabic lost being removed from job, which was very evident in this years TA, that was very poorly planned and was a total failure, which is my personal observation. I never had made a quarrel or warned for anything against the firm. Even though myself and others worked with me, felt that I had contributed well for the betterment of the company, I did not had an exit interview even, while leaving.

You have to pay for food here. There's not enough office space and the accomodate you between two cubicles or you pick any place where the employees are on leave. The place is very remote. Not a good place for young people.

There is a lot of politics and the management does address our issues. Salary is decent and career growth is slow. There is no bond for resign. On the job training is available for new joinees.
