The day I found out my colleague earns 30% more for the same role
It was an accidental slip. A teammate mentioned her CTC while we were chatting casually. Same designation, same team, joined after me but her salary was almost 30% more. My stomach dropped. I spent days debating whether to bring it up. I didn’t want to come off as insecure or difficult. But I also couldn’t un-know what I knew. Eventually, I had an honest, data-backed conversation with my manager. Turns out, I was right and they revised my pay. It wasn’t easy, but it taught me this: silence doesn’t protect you. Companies run on numbers. If you don’t negotiate, you leave money on the table. Have you ever been in a similar spot? How did you navigate it?

The workload is heavy, and support from colleagues is lacking. Salary discussions are misleading. They’ll promise one thing during interviews and deliver much less.

It feels like we’re just cogs in a machine, working tirelessly with no recognition or reward. The workload is just too much. They expect us to complete tasks in impossible timeframes. Unfair treatment of employees based on gender. Disheartening to see. Expect to sacrifice your weekends and evenings. I was promised professional development, but instead, I was overworked and underappreciated.

The pay structure is unfair; raises are minimal and inconsistent. Late-night texts from the boss are a nightmare; it’s unprofessional.

Promises of job stability are empty here. They’ll cut you loose regardless of how hard you work. Contributions are overshadowed by the need to play nice with the higher-ups. Employees are expected to work overtime without any additional compensation or acknowledgment.

...a distant dream. If you’re not part of the clique, good luck getting recognized. The pay is below market standards too.

The organization lacks direction. It feels like we’re all just trying to keep our heads above water with no clear goals. They don't respect personal time. Expect to work weekends with no extra compensation. There’s no structure or support, and it feels like no one knows what they’re doing. The company has no respect for personal time, expecting employees to work around the clock without any acknowledgment. There’s no work-life balance here; you’re expected to sacrifice everything for the job.

...s in, and I’m still waiting for meaningful work. This is not a place for growth. Compensation is below industry standards. Certifications are only used to benefit the company, not the employees. Training sessions are frequent, but mostly ineffective. Office politics are overwhelming. The lack of clear guidelines leads to favoritism and unfair treatment.

The management turns a blind eye to harassment as long as the productivity numbers look good. The work-life balance is nonexistent; you're expected to be available 24/7.
