Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

I like social media, exposure, and working with people, but not all people are good to work with!

Dislikes

The expectations from the management were too much and terrible, and reaching targets isn't an easy job but their harassment makes it more stressful! The relationship of the employees with the managers was something unhealthy and awful, and it makes the entire atmosphere TOXIC!

The leadership team does a great job at making sure employees are taken care of, compensated appropriately, with ample opportunities for growth. Especially, with the Managing Partner, I've noticed she's invested in making sure we're excited about the work we're doing, and she truly leads with a servant's heart. I appreciate that she has strong morals which bleed into the way she leads the RMD team. Creating content is also a fun job in the food world.

Dislikes

Sometimes you get new hires that don't totally fit into the culture at RMD (case in point: see the bad reviews). Honestly, this just drags the team down and creates a negative atmosphere. I'm grateful those hires no longer work at RMD - they're weeded out pretty quickly.

Mostly, the people and the clients. The team is is smart, driven and admirable. They care a great deal about each other, and discuss difficult topics with healthy conflict skills. Understandably, these are skills that are acquired. Our purpose is to take great care of each other, and to take great care of our clients.
