Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

It's been a wonderful experience as an employee of Rishi Bankim Chandra College,Naihati. I have been working here since 2014. No issue with our authority. They encourage and support each of their employees for growth of their careers. I'm thankful to my college for giving me the opportunity to serve them with my knowledge and skills.

Dislikes

Just one thing, salary is not enough for our position and work load. Authority should look into this matter.
