... received from HR personnel ms.Waghmare not mentioning any details of the job i.e job title/position, salary, roles& responsibilities, working hours and incentives of my job at Reliance hospital navi mumbai. I informed my HR and incharge-ER of my decision to leave for this wonderful opportunity which they respected. I called ms. Waghmare the very next day to discuss the housing, after calling her the entire time from 12 noon to 4:30pm i finally got to talk to her when she finally finished her very important and long lunch break, i even went to see her the very next day to discuss hospital accomodation that is when she introduced me to a very genuine person Mr.Tripathi who was kind enough to escort me to and give me tour of a cramped 2bhk apartment overloaded with old furniture like a storage unit, full of filth and dust But since I didn't had a choice I happily accepted it thinking i can make it better, livable and clean. Prior leaving to see the accomodation I discussed with ms. Waghmare if I can move in a day before and it was set for me to move on 2nd June 2022 and join the hospital on 3rd June 2022 which she agreed to, I wasn't aware of the evil tactics that HR personnel ms. Waghmare had in her mind. Knowing that I'm leaving my organisation she was waiting for an opportunity for me to be out of options and then change and dictate the process which she intentionally hid and didnt share informally or formally in any medium of communication. I even came for pre-employment health check-up on 1st June 2022 to make a point that I'm genuinely interested in the position. On 2nd i hurriedly started to finish rest of the packing which took a little more than expected so I could not move on 2nd June as I had a night shift too & i didn't want my work to be affected/patient care to be compromised due to the burnout so I chose to move on 3rd, I innocently believed everything she said and considered her godsent! And it was the right foresighted decision to not shift my belongings on 2nd june as my night shift was very busy and I had continuos work almost until 6am. After I finished my shift at 8am I went home and came back to hospital after 2 hours & started the clearance process with my employer at 10am to get the relieving and experience certificate which was required for the joining formalities, i was done by 2pm. Immediately after I finished my clearance I called Mr.Tripathi to let him know that I will be shifting my belongings in a couple of hours and finish joing formalities the same day if possible. To my shock he denied me the keys to the place stating ms. Waghmare instructed him to do so as I did not join. I did not argue with the gentleman as he was just following the orders from his superiors so instead of moving in with all my stuff at once there I was completely burned out of exhaustion after a busy night shift having to face the inconvenience and hardship of driving all the way to navi mumbai because again when called ms.Waghmare was not available at her extension and on her very dear lunch break. this could have been avoided had ms. Waghmare eased out the process and understood my job profile. Upon reaching there I approached her in person, she was not ready to talk to me and not responding to my cry for help. knowing that she intentionally defrauded me and owed me an explanation she walked inside to dodge my questions, After 2 minutes she came out and instead of apologizing for the lies she started blabbering in a very rude tone that there is a SET PROTOCOL that need to be followed and the keys to the place can not be handed over without my joining. Fortunately I was carrying my documents so I requested her to do joining formalities but again ..she replied in a commanding and cunning manner"you were called here at 10am for joining", How can you get the clearance done and commute-reach 40km away by 10am when the HR in any office start work at 9 and there are multiple signatures from different departments to be obtained for clearnace, Is it even practical and sensible? I asked her the same question to which she said "It is not my concern" which was insensible insensitive and inhuman for a human resource professional. She could have apologised and diffused the situation but she wanted to win the argument and kept engaging in it further. Then I asked her a simple question,"If you had no problem with me joining on 3rd June and shifting on a day prior so what is wrong with shifting on 3rd and joining on 3rd or even 4th?", she was baffled and then she started defending herself by giving an example of a doctor who locked his belongings including his original documents inside locker and did not join the hospital. I tried to reason with her asking her how can she judge the whole community of medical professionals based on action of one doctor? She had no answer. she took offense and started to threaten me asking me to lower down my tone orelse she wont tolerate it. Why would I lower down my tone for an obnoxious person like ms. Waghmare who thinks she has power to hire and fire as she pleases, had she been soft-spoken I might have cooled down. Then my colleague who accompanied me calmed me down and I decided not to engage with her further and was about to go inside the office to take the handover of the keys and sign in the register. Before going inside I assured Mr. Tripathi that I can sign any paper including a legal stamp paper that I will join the hospital to which she asked him to take my signatures on a stamp paper, imitating my exact words like an angry kid. That was very immature and unprofessional. As I reached Mr. Tripathis cubicle I heard ms. Waghmare merely 10 feet away gossiping and slandering about me to who I think is Mr. Harsh from HR. That is when I lost my temper and I had a mental breakdown. I yellingly asked and begged of ms. Waghmare to understand her responsibility to make my transition from one job to another smooth instead of being subjected to a trial and torture, I asked of her to be a little kind, empathetic and co-operative. She again replied in a rude way "NO", Was that too much to ask for? By that time a bouncer was called in to deal with me I was asked by the bouncer yellingly to get out like i was an intruder who tresspassed without permission. Instead of involving her superiors who could have resolved the issue they called a bouncer to intimidate and humiliate me further. she knew if superiors were called or get to know what she exactly did she could get in trouble. There were many HR professionals and administrators in the office who acted mere spectators instead of consoling me and neutralizing the situation but they chose to gang up against me and just witness the nuisance that was a result of ms.Waghmare's doing. It was then and there in that moment i decided that i will not work in a toxic and hostile environment like Reliance hospital navi mumbai. What if I had joined an organization and fell victim to a workplace which is run by unprofessional HR personnel and unethical HR practices , No exclusive involvement in hiring process of doctors by actual doctors/who have medical background . I was never so sure, never had more clarity of anything else in my life but in that moment i knew i don't , i won't and i will never ever work with Reliance. walking out of reliance hospital navi mumbai and rejecting the job offer was the best thing I did in a long time. I walked out as a proud man who saved his dignity and self respect. I chose to live with honor and honesty. I will find another job! But I would have lost my respect for self had I chosen to work with people in power in a company like yours Who think they can treat employees like cattles.
