The work culture is good but it depends on the project you will work for. Work life balance is also good and you are able to do your personal work and go offline for some time.

The biggest issue is the salary structure. When you join the HR will give compensation that will suit you. But during the first appraisal, your salary structure will be changed and a lot of variable and taxable components will be added impacting your in-hand salary. On top of that more variables will be added in the following year's appraisals. The other issue is getting fired if you are a surplus to a project/company or a non-performing resource. They do give you 3 months salary which may be enough for one to find a new job. The insurance policy is very limited in terms of the amount and dependents are not covered. You will need to pay for them and the insured amount again is limited. The other big issue is growth is very slow as there are countless levels. Getting to a manager level from a lead position may take anywhere between 6-15 years. You may get a feeling of not being valued in spite of the efforts you put in every year as your promotion would mean nothing in terms of the roles and responsibilities. It's just a change in the title to give you an artificial feeling.

HR policies like 1 yr contract for exp and on each increment post one year they have condition you have to return that money if you leave company.

flexible work hours

Dislikes

cab timing from station to office is limited to 9am to 11 am and return timing is 6pm to 8pm. need to extend it. Also you will stuck to single project and technology unless you demand change.

I have been hired for Automation Testing profile even 3 round of interviews were conducted on Java, Selenium WebDriver, Jenkins etc skills associated with Automation Testing profile. However after joining I hardly got opportunity for just 1 month to work on Automation Testing. For rest of my stint at Rave, I was working on typical manual testing profile. I was writing manual test cases in excel file, execute those test cases manually etc. For a resource like me who have 6.5 years of experience into Automation Testing (prior to joining Rave), working on manual testing was like downgrading my own skillsets. There was no new technologies involved. One can not learn new technologies just by doing manual testing. That's so pathetic. Even after discussing with automation & manual testing teams' leads/managers they just kept me rolling in circles by telling check with him, check with her etc. On the review meetings I have been always told some reasons to continue with manual testing for some time and later I'll be moved into Automation Testing but that later never came.
