It was opened as a welfare school for the wards of Army by the then Brtish named as King George Royal Indian Military College following Cambridge curriculum. It was renamed in the present way and following CBSE curriculum. It is a member of Indian Public School conference. The present Kendriya Vidyalaya and Sainik Schools are modelled on Rashtriya Military school. It has all India character where strudents are selected from all over India of diverse cultural background and live in harmony trained to join Indian army. It is a mini India! It is completely boarding school. All modern learning facilities are provided. All types games and sports can be learnt here. Teaching is a profession and should not be taken as a job! There is ample opportunity for skill development for teachers as well as students. Work life balance is very good. Teacher-taught relation is very good. Old boys association is is live example for this attribution.
