It's a goverment organisation where you can fly higher and higher with team effort . A suitable support system is there to help you out in the case of exigencies.

As per the goverment regulations the pay hike is fixed and promotions are subjected to the vacancies as per the seniority list and the recent outsourcing the chances of the promotion are scanty at this point of time.

The only good thing of doing job in the organization is to live within your home state.

Career growth is slow, pay abnormalities present here. One cannot schedule his daily life because of rotational shift duties. Emergency duty cannot take leaves without adjustments.

Different salaries of Junior engineers , Diploma Holder junior engineer getting more pay and promotion than B.Tech. Junior Engineer(except 2008 batch). After 20 years Direct recruitment For Assistant Engineer without technical exam full of corruption.

Being a government undertaking, it is hard to lose the job, hence the job security is very high.

Dislikes

Company has no clear policy for those employees ( regarding food ) who are posted in rural backward area, company had to take responsibility to feed such employees quality food so that such employees can retain their good health thus resulting in better efficient work & ultimately resulting in growth of the company. Those who think that government PSUs have better working culture, they must rethink deeply over it & after comparison with the industry, should take any decision.
