New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

No Work Life Balance No Promotion No Growth Toxic environment CEO is very toxic treats you like a slave No annual increment You can't switch (they will not give you experience letter even if you serve notice) 3 months notice period Please stay away from this company, better to stay unemployed than being mentally tortured daily

It is the worst company you will come across. Well, Insider info: it is not a legit company. They run a scam in the name of IT company. Absolutely none of their products are in the market and they will never be in the market because you need to be seriously working on a product to launch it. They don't follow scrum/agile methodology. They don't even have a proper CI/CD pipeline because not to forget, its not a legit company. If you are someone thinking to join this company, stop right there. I am sure you don't want to ruin precious years of your life working in this circus. This company has nothing to offer you. Oh sorry, I forgot, they sure have these to offer you though- Zero skill development. Zero relevant experience. Zero work life balance and a workplace trauma for life. That being said, "A word to the wise is enough".
