Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

...s now 12 Lakh rupees package in civil branch and 200 students got job offers. Regular salary by management but current month salary is given at the next month ending.

Dislikes

There are many bosses including campus director sir dictatorship and politics.Institute gives less vacation and no leaves given on government holidays.
