I joined the company thinking that I will grow with the startup but I soon realised, I cannot grow where they themselves are not willing to grow. Team mates were okay but everybody who were good were already leaving the toxic environment and boss.

Dislikes

They don't know professionalism and how a company works. They still are freelancing individuals.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
