Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

The company's direction appears unstable, shifting from an unlisted shares platform to multiple crypto projects, and now to the freight forwarding industry with more than 100 urgent iterations. Employee benefits often hinge on the CEO's changing mood, with sudden changes to leave policies, encashment, and office timings rules. Employees are constantly leaving this organization and a culture of nepotism creates an environment that feels more like a family-run operation than a professional workplace. Employees are asked for their government ID to get free 3 months of internet recharge. That is how low they stoop down.
