Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Patrika as an organisation doesn’t have any professional ethics.. no one wants to let anybody grow.. if you really wish to survive here, one thing you should learn thoroughly is ‘buttering and everybody you see around.. really bad experience.. no growth.. all humiliation.. no learning.. only politics..

Likes

A good organisation to work with and a lot of practical learning will happen on the job. Good work-life balance. Good reliable brand image. Lot of faith is shown in employees and there is a freedom to take decisions within your scope of work. All in all 4+ years well spent with the organisation.

Dislikes

Would have loved to grow within the organisation across various verticals.
