Salary and work life balance.

Dislikes

Leadership operating in cartel mode, most of them work together previously. New thoughts are not welcome. Leadership think in orthodox and on same line. Diversity of thoughts are much needed, OSTTRA should stop itself from hijack.

People & culture is toxic, many of senior leadership hired from one company. Leadership hired their team from same company specifically people previously worked with. No space for new ideas…completely frustrating environment. CYA attitude from leadership.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
