As a company oracle is good in terms of Work life balance. Managers are very helpful in your personal matters and will not interfere until you are handling your project alone. Health insurance are very good. Very much flexible.

Compensation very good only when you join . There is almost openly communicated if you need the more hike you can switch the job as doors are always open which is quite demotivated to person because not everyone in such position to switch the job . Appreciation , your good work , hard work doesn't matter for your growth , you have to be your god father . :-) For learning you have too many videos , books but no access to perform hands. Most pain full is dry promotion , its looks funny :)

If you ask even during appraisals, they will just say your appraisal has nothing to do with a hike, it's just a performance review. They are obsessed with their products even though better open source solutions are available. They want to use everything of their own.
