Work Life Balance is the only good thing.
Dislikes
...Only boot lickers with no attitude towards work are promoted. Too much politics.
2 - 6% salary hike, worst among all the organizations.
3 - Management is just for name and politics, even VP doesn't know how the increment is done and how much fund will be given to the specific team. These decisions are made at SVP level which is too bad. They don't have a vision of how people will be promoted, they only aim for their profit and their own salary share.
4 - Managers highlight a simple work of a boot lockers as if he conquered the Himalayas. Opportunities are also given to those people only.
Higher management is too much knowledgeable to understand problem and guide junior people to resolve any challenges. As well as they take each resources with their personal life priority.

Lots of talented technical individuals specially IC's.
there are multiple training opportunities to learn wider range of technologies and applications
No Salary Hike even after COVID
Higher Management is very lethargic and is just interested in grabbing names for themselves at the cost of talented IC's
No Job Stability as we frequently hear of RFI
Promotion opportunities are very limited

You will get good technical work, lot of challenges to learn new things in your domain.
You will get chance to learn new technologies which comes under Oracle.
Oracle has customers world wide so the work that you do impacts many people. This gives a huge satisfaction as a Software Developer. The work life balance is great where 5-6 hours of solid work is enough to get you through your daily tasks. I have not heard of any layoffs in Oracle's Application Development Unit so the job security is great.
...USD in stocks and if you join as an IC2 with 1-4 years of experience, you get 0. The salary desparity is huge and as far as I have heard, the hike cycles are non existent.
With regards to learning, as an Applications Developer at Oracle, you will work with Internal tools like VBS and ADF which are not widely used in the industry. These are low code tools which require good problem solving and debugging skills to master but do not require hands on coding as such. Additionally, now they have also started 5 days WFO in most of the Hyderabad teams.
