Job security is very good, one can be very sure even after performing very badly they won't be fired. Work culture is fair,not something to boast about. Management doesn't look at making life easy for field going employees, they only consider monetary benefits as good perks. Overall job is satisfactory for those who are not too ambitious about future & money but more about easy life & job security. Medical benefits are very good.

Dislikes

HR policies are not as per requirement, pay anomalies in many levels, not enuf scope for career development or monitory benifit. Transfer policy is very bad & not at all transparent, easy or beneficial.

Likes

The company is all about the package. Good for money and here balanced your professional as well as personal life. Work culture of company is another thing I loved very much. Permanent job in PSU is always good.

Dislikes

While working with ONGC I realised that every employee of company did the hard work to get job in this PSU but, once employee entered the skill development and work satisfaction percentage going down automatically. That's the major drawback for me as a corporate person.

(1) Training and growth opportunities depends largely on ones personal rapo. (2) Frustration may crop up due to the nature of hardship in the job and remain unnoticed after hard work. (3) Being a Govt undertaking one may find difficulty to carry out the job in proper way

...to learn. Freedom to innovate. Opportunity to experience top and bottom of life. Best Salary. Takes care of Family. Takes care after retirement also. Organisation goal is not on an individual. Energy creator.

After putting a lifelong service in ONGC, it is not fair from my part to comment about the organisation to an outsider.

Career Growth for all , Training aspects Job security , Salary , Work environment etc. is very good. but for my case I got promotion from S.E. to C.E . after completion of 10 yrs. & then after I didn't got any promotion. i.e. PROMOTION POLICY IS NOT FAIR , depends on relation between BOSS & EMPLOYEE.ALSO CAST BASE.
