New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

One can learn a lot from the staff. Staff is well trained and tend to create leaders. Work culture is very good.

...t needs any work to be done right away then everyone is supposed to do overtime. You get compensation but no option for rejecting work .

Sir helped me in my learnings. He's so very friendly that he taught many fresh client engineers too. He's approachable. Outside site he treats staff friendly. Travel Allowances were given always.

...growing company so staff is less therefore u might be asked to work extra hours. Though they pay for that.

One is allowed to give his/her best. Whenever we face problem, sir always sort that problem technically and provide us with the best possible solutions for future. This has made me learn and grow exponentially. Amazing opportunity to enhance and polish one's technical skills.

Though we are right but if client has declared it wrong we have to listen to them. Only in extreme case sir takes our side.
