I love the work culture and environment. We have a good work life balance. They provide fruits as snacks for our well being. They arrange tech related programs like hackathons and seminars for personal development.

Company should increase the compensation as it provides less compared to industry standard.

- Good amount of work as most products get revamped regularly. - Opportunities to grow if you can speak up and add value to the company. - Wide range of products and domains(Mobile/Desktop/Web/Backend). - Excellent salary/compensation that's very competitive in the market. - RSUs while joining and during appraisal for great performers. Also offers Employee Stock Purchase Plan to all employees at 15% discount. - Occasional WFH has been an option even before the pandemic. - Really good Leave policy. Additionally, the company also provides mandatory year-end time-off to all during the last week of the year. August 16th is a holiday too, on account of NortonLifeLock day. - Global employee count has been reduced to 2500 from 11000.

- Year end hikes are pretty low in the recent times due to cost cutting. But they try to compensate it with bonus and RSUs or during market correction cycle. - Some good perks have gone missing due to the same reason. - Good talents are retained but with reduction in the employee count the benefits have not improved but have become less instead. Hope this would change in the near future. - Ensure employees feel empowered and valued for all the hard and smart work they do and the faith they continue to have on the management during tough times, by compensating for the low hikes in the recent times and by improving employee benefits.

Work culture and people here are so friendly and helpful. Take home salary is also very nice and able to balance work and life but job security for off role employees are little difficult as the contract extension is bit long process and makes employees to stand on edge

...antec always empowers employees to work freely. Do your job and you are Good. 2. Compensation and Benefits - A company which offers the best Compensation, promotion and lots of benefits. The package at Symantec is very high and at the entry-level itself you will feel the difference. Symantec provides transportation to all the employees including contractors. They also provide cab for odd shifts. Awards, Gift vouchers as part of awards (known as WOW award which has levels ranging from 1000 INR to 27000 INR), Medical insurance for employee, Free food in all the pantries.

1. Technology stack - has old technologies and they have not upgraded and they don't want to upgrade as it requires the immense cost to upgrade. some of the servers still run on java 1.7 and you have to write code that supports java 1.7 the outdated versions of servers, legacy applications (that no one uses ) 2. Career growth - PLEASE DONT GO FOR THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR CAREER !!! this is because this will make you outdated. At the start of your career, you should learn new things and try to push your limits , challenge your skills, etc. when I was intern everything was new and I learned it. but when I see my other friends I see lot of gaps in the skills, They earn less but they know more I earn more but I know less. Symantec is for those who had enough IT life and want to enjoy the rest of the days of there lives :p !! If you are a technical guy who wants to build a career in the IT come back later when you are done with IT things :P Also, Symantec is now a division of Broadcom I would suggest don't go for the opportunity! :(

Compensation is decent, being a product based organisation. career growth is slow and upto your manager. Management is very poor. 4 CEOs in 5 years, that explains it. leaning is ok, depending on your project/team again. Work life balance is good most of the times. Flexible working hours and WFH.

Poor management. bad appraisal process and Manager centric. When your manager keeps changing because of either layoff or Org change, you have to prove every one of them again and again. They don't have to justify anything.
