No job security, no payments on time n no personal life

Dislikes

Even after working for a year I was not paid 6 months salary and I was given commitment from d owner dat d whole salary will be credited at d time of settlement. And before 2 days of doing settlement they terminated stating false reason... Really one of d worst places I have ever worked in my life... Very horrible and worst place I have ever worked

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
