I love the fact that I am a part of a team that markets reliable, high-quality products and has a global client base. As a result, I get to travel abroad, especially to the US and Canada. But on-site travel is completely dependent on your project and client’s location. Mine is a US based client and they have some offices in Toronto, hence I got a B1 visa quickly. Another plus point is that my colleagues come from various cultural backgrounds, and we work happily in collaboration. I also like the employee re-hire policy here.

Dislikes

Compensation is decent, but growth is slow. The work pressure is very high. Sometimes, I have to work 14-18 hours straight in a day as I have to attend client calls in the evening and sometimes late into the night. Managers do not value an individuals’ unique strengths, which is why I have to take back my suggestions most of the times. I do receive appreciation emails from my client, but they mostly go unnoticed during my mid-year appraisals. Also, there is no on-job training for freshers, hence senior folks like me have to guide them step-by-step, which is a pain sometimes.

The company is open to adapting new innovations. You get many opportunities and learn many things since you deal with multinational clients. Work life is very much balanced since you get 3 Saturdays and all Sundays off. Travelling to places is exciting, job security is always there until you perform. Teammates are wonderful.

Dislikes

Compensation is decent, but it is compared with your colleagues and then you don't get what you deserve.

There are some great practices followed in the company that one doesn't expect from a service company from India: 1. Huddle every Friday to share an appreciation of your colleagues, if any. 2. Hybrid working - 2 to 3 days WFH even post covid 3. Very performance-driven company - employees are compensated based on business performance. 4. Work for one of its kind product - that holds the potential to change the maintenance industry in the Marine/oil & gas/industrial space. 5. Upper management is always available to address your concern 6. Focus on your learning & growth. A separate budget is allocated for that 7. KRs are set & reviewed every quarter for each and every individual. It gives a clear picture of what is to be done

Dislikes

1. Location - Far from the station and the road around the office gets messy, especially during monsoon although construction is ongoing. 2. No good Canteen in the office vicinity. but zomato gives a lot of good options
