Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Likes

Meeting several colleagues- they were very helpful, training given in the H.O., no job security offered, lacked career growth, salary was with industry standard, travel was rare, lots of learning, work environment was poor, lacked innovation, good work life balance

Dislikes

Most of are very good, but few are not co-operating
