Job security. Thats the only thing people like at NIE. 75% of the faculty are full of crap. They know nothing in and out. Even they spend life and time easily and happily at NIE.

Dislikes

No increments, no salary benefits, no work-life-balance, no arrears concepts. Increments are less than Rs. 1000 if at all given. Faculty with no competence enjoyed all benefits earlier. The competent ones suffer. There is no value for junior staff. They work worse than donkeys. The management is rude and arrogant. They have no value themselves and do they value the good staff. Majority of the staff don't work for more than 5 years here. Its only the women folk - whose salary is higher than their husbands - continue to drag and work in this place.

CL, EL medical insurance PF is very very good. If salary is not a matter it's very nice place to work. Overall rating is rated only based on salary.

Dislikes

Salary difference NIE asst prof gets 65k prof NIEIT asst prof gets 31k. NIE Associate prof gets 1.75 to 2 lakh but NIEIT Associate prof gets 80 to 90k timing restriction for nieit staff where as nie no timing restriction.
