Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

I am gaining overall growth in Indirect Taxation earlier VAT & Service Tax and currently in GST field like Providing consultancy to clients regarding how to do tax planning in terms of gst and income tax, book keeping, procedural part of gst monthly return filing. Beyond that i have handled stat audit of companies and tax audits of different assessees along with filing of income tax returns.

Dislikes

Lack of Salary Satisfaction.
