Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

The company is having good scope and potential to grow. But the culture and management attitude pulls it down. The senior management do not have a strategy and spend their time only fighting competition in the market and to retain their market share. In the bargain they lose their bottom line. The finance team needs lot of improvement.

Dislikes

Very poor about emloyees skill sets and too much dependent on very few people
