Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Sadly nothing about the company and the management.

Dislikes

No Leaves, No Leave Encashment, No Bonus, No Incentives, No Staff Family Insurance, Always Salary Delay, No Funds availability, Frequent Salary Hold, No Increments, Frequent Warnings and Memos, Sudden Termination Notices, No Payment against F&F of left staff. No appreciation for good performance. Terrible and Pathetic company to work.
