You find interesting students here, and the atmosphere is quite good...

Dislikes

You get stressed: this is the most unsecured institution I have never seen. They have a preference for PhD's, only from popular institutions like NIT, IIT... (Join at your own risk if you are not a PhD graduate from the above institutions). Whether you like it or not, you must publish at least 2 papers/ year in international journals (Scopus) and get projects for the institution. And the best thing is that the management can remove you at anytime for no reason. They just ask you to leave whenever they find someone who is better than you ( they make sure to release you when no other institute is recruiting). And the best of all, if you get another job offer and inform them, they will make sure they waist your time around there till you loose it.

New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer.
