Overall experience is good but there is no growth for contractual employees. All contractual employees (fresher/experience) have equal salary.

There is too much politics in all MoH hospitals. There are distinct reasons for this. 1. I was asked to be evaluated by a Pakistani Consultant. He was against India (my country). He was not calling me to attend emergencies. I saw those patients the next day morning only. He wrote a bad evaluation that I was not attending emergency surgeries. You should never allow a Pakistani to evaluate an Indian Doctor. Their country has attacked on us 4 times and they are sending terrorists in our country. They hate all the Indians. 2. In all the MoH hospitals, about 60 % doctors are Egyptians. They categorically believe as a group that only Egyptians should work in MoH and all other doctors should be removed. If a non-Egyptian is removed from his job, there are 60 % chances that another Egyptian will get a job. They make all the efforts that some doctors lose their jobs or quit. MoH should not employ too many doctors from anyone country. They will make a gang and ultimately it will hamper the function of the hospitals. 3. I worked in Abu Arish General Hospital. This hospital does not follow MoH policies. They openly defy them. They allow certain surgical specialists to work independently, without any supervision of a Consultant. The specialists do unnecessary surgeries to improve their monthly tally of number of operations done. They file complaints against the consultants and get him transferred out. In the last 10 years, about 10 Consultant General Surgeons were posted in this hospital. They were all good consultants as I heard from others. They all have been removed or reduced to a Specialist. 4. I filed complaints with the MoH on their 937 website and I wrote a letter to them which was hand delivered. No investigation is done for my complaints and nobody has contacted me. 5. The Saudi Citizen Nurses are non-compliant. They refuse to carry out orders and they demand that the doctor manages the patients the way they want.

What I like working at Ministry of Health is work culture. The work culture at Ministry of Health in Liberia is cordial among workers at work places in making sure that they meet their career goal. In so doing, they discuss issues concerning challenges at work and way forward for the benefits of staffs and the patients, team work is key, in service training etc.

What I dislike about working at Ministry of Health is about low salary income. $US 170 is the total monthly salary for Registered Nurse employed at Ministry of Health which is just used for food, pocket change for transport to work, lack of staffs' motivation etc. If not properly managed that little income,it leads to financial deficit.
