I like the startup culture and work culture here and allows employees to work freely , also there is good support from seniors and employees and they are always motivated and appreciated for my efforts . And i also like the policies and initiatives from HR department .Another plus point is that my colleagues come from various backgrounds ,and we work happily in collaboration .the best part of this company is providing a snacks breads and other staff this makes me very happy and also they provided games that is quite interested . I also like the employee re hire policy here.

Dislikes

compensation is decent ,but growth is slow . Manager do not give value to unique strengths , which is why i have to take back my suggestions most of the times Also here i could not found much opportunities for the employees who comes under 3rd party payroll.

Nothing, joining means reuining your carrier and CV, no training, no support from anybody, poor goodwill among sellers, Loss of pay (LOP) is common. It's a third party payroll.

No support Poor work culture Unrealistic targets Uneven salary Micromanagement Hire and fire policy Loss of pay Reputation in the market Biased people Always hiring and firing Working all 7 days is common No training newly joined people must start performing right from day 1 otherwise face PIP or termination.

Poor work life balance, promotes people only at higher positions already and within the circle of the leadership. There are endless reviews every month, hardly leave time to actually do something

Only a risk that is probably associated with every startup. A risk where, your role may not fit sometime in larger scheme of things. However, this is a risk that everyone sign up for on the same day when you sign up the appointment letter or decide to join this ecosystem. I myself lost my role due to this but no regrets 😊. time at Meesho was disheartening as the company seemed to be plagued by issue of favouritism and politics, layoff, which heavily influenced performance evolution and stunted carrier growth opportunities. Rather than basing promotions on objective criteria like skill and knowledge, personal relationships were prioritised, leading to demotivation, low morale and high employee turnover. In my experience, layoffs at Meesho are particularly difficult, especially when it seemed like most talented engineers were being let go while those with personal relationship with directors were being retained. It was clear that layoffs were not based of objective criteria such as job performance and business needs. In May 2023, Vidit Aatrey suddenly called 15% layoff resulting in the termination of 251 engineers in one day and with the callous decision to make it their last working days. And other 15% approx. get layoff in yearly appraisal rating and asked to leave. if you value transparency, fairness, professional growth and job security, I suggest explore other opportunities outside of Meesho.
