1. Compensation -
The compensation provided at Masai School is at par with any other companies that you can join at the same level. Apart from the fixed income you have the ESOP's which is pretty attractive, given that Masai School is just approximately 2 year old company.
2. Culture -
The culture at Masai School is very good and healthy. One of the things that people want in any company is whether their ideas or suggestions are being heard or not. Since my joining in August 2020 in Masai, I have contributed and lead many of the ideas and have contributed to other teammates ideas too.
3. Working Hours
Since the time I have joined Masai School, the company has been working remotely and would be working on the same lines until the Covid situation is sorted in the country. The working hours is pretty much dependant on an employee. For me, it is mostly dependent on my work, I consider my working hours to be majorly my screen time in week-days which amounts to around 10hrs.
4. Leave Policy
The Leave Policy at Masai school is on the generous side. We have infinite number of paid leaves which is quite normal nowadays in growing startups.
The thing I used to dislike about Masai School was that when I joined (I joined at a pretty early stage, I was the 17th employee) at Masai School, there was no proper organisation in the startup. Almost everyone was doing some or the other works related to some other departments. We didn't have HR for starters. But eventually when the company began to grow, it has grown 4x since my joining, things started falling into it's place.
find a work life balance here can be tough, But realizing that it's helping me grow a lot in my career. Working at Masai has been a mix of highs and lows. It's definetly unique experience. There are times when it can feel like a lot, but I also feel like I'm building skills and resilience along the way.
The work culture at MASAI School is something is that I really like. Along with that the work I get to do on a daily basis makes me happy about everything I am doing here. The benefits are also great and the most important part is learning during the job.
