Salary is paid better than other companies. They give free food and snacks.

Here in Marvell, senior people and engineers will be dumped with so many tasks. Meetings during night and day time, since it's US based company. Lots of redundant task will be taken up by people. You have to repeat the same task again and again once you know the product so learning curve is less. There is no job security.

IMPORTANT Company has no ethics when it comes to compensation. There is no standardization in salary. 10+ Years of a candidate will get the 10lac package and Sr position, and fresher will get the 12lac package with Juniper position. If your salary 5lac then HR will try to hire at 5.5lac. HR takes pride in this hiring an award themselves. The first RULE in Marvell joining, be cautious and demand high 50lac. Hiring Manager will also back HRs.

Work-life balance is okay for some projects, but not as good as top product-based companies.

Dislikes

No proper structure of work. No many positions to get promotions/appraisals. Culture is not so good, very legacy culture. As it is a hardware-centric company, no much growth for enterprise people like (Cloud, Virtualization, Containerization, DevOps, etc.)

Marvell compensation package and perks are satisfactory . It also has good work from home and hybrid policy.

Dislikes

Niche area of work , not much opportunity for senior engineers for grown in management . The technical ladder is not well defined. So senior engineers stagnant . A bit of biased management attitude towards seniors.
