Salary Negotiation in an interview
Hi, I have had a first round of interview with the company. And mentioned my salary expectations as 15- 20% from my previous LPA. But after that I feel like I have undervalued my expectations. Being in the field for 9 years with the required skill, considering the market and the prospect company is a well known builder, i should have asked more. Anyway a face to face interview is scheduled next week. How to ask them a higher salary from what I have mentioned earlier. And how much I can ask more. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Office is spacious. Job security is there

Dislikes

... people here loves to poke their noses in everyone's business (personal lives) No Growth- There's no promotion or raise, no growth, no proper salary structure, salary is not given according to experience and qualifications. Ex- XYZ joined as fresher is getting same or more package as compared to the person working here for 3 years. Wages not salary - Incentives structure is poor. They are giving wages and not salaries. Even an auto driver if work for straight 8-9 hours can be able to earn more than the people working here.

Helpful friendly employees. A decent place to start your career.

Dislikes

Compensation is not competitive as compared to the market standards, no work life balance. Put hard working employees on furlough during the covid-19 lockdown. That was a horrible decision, let down a lot of honest employees and made them suffer by not paying them throughout the lockdown.
